Hi Arsalan, to help you I would say that the two streams BBA and fashion design are completely opposite. On one hand, commerce being good and vast stream the jobs and courses are more of like business and corporateship type based on the market fluctuations. After 12th commerce many students opt for BBA for their interest in business studies and then further opt for MBA to get a steep rise in career. And on the other hand, fashion industry has become so specialized that it encompasses a vast field of studies in design, concept management, design production management, quality control, planning, fabric design, printing and so on. The candidates after successful completion of the course can find excellent placements in garment, leather and jewellery industry as merchandising executives, fashion designers, illustrators, fashion co-coordinators, etc. The best bet for a beginner is to get associated with an established designer or design house, and begin with doing the menial work. In a nutshell, I would advice you to opt for both only if you believe that you can perform and score well as it gets tougher by doubling the burden. Things are totally opposite if you compare both the courses. Pursuing two courses together won’t help attain a good job. It depends on how you have handled the stress, understood the subject and scored well. It is your hard work and determination that would pay you at the end. Choosing a stream entirely depends on your interest and personal attributes. So, would suggest you to decide wisely. Hope it helps. Hi Arsalan, It is important to understand the context of your question. Are you presently studying fashion design and would like to understand better how to set up your own design company. Then a Business Administration course will equip you better. However, if designing is your passion and want to leave the business part to other professionals, it will be better to invest in a Master fashion design course.
