<p>It is practically impossible to transfer directly from Thapar Institute of Engineering &amp; Technology (TIET) to Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT Allahabd) to complete a B.Tech in Computer Engineering. JEE Main is the major scheme which is followed at IIIT Allahabad for admitting thestudents into B.Tech programs, there are no provisions for lateral entry or transfer from other colleges and institutes for undergraduate courses.&nbsp;</p><p>Although, IIIT Allahabad does have a system where students can seek branch change after the first year of study this applies to only students already registered in IIIT Allahabad and not transfer students from other universities.&nbsp;</p><p>However, Thapar Institute has some policy regarding migration as well. As per the Thapar Institute's academic rules and regulation, the students are allowed to transfer from this institute to other institute / university or from other institute/university to Thapar Institute but it usually done on more formal basis and not usually done individually for a student.&nbsp;</p><p><br>Thus, there are two ways to go about joining IIIT Allahabad's B.Tech programme – the normal method involves writing the JEE Main as part of the regular admissions process. In order to get a most accurate and up to date information it is possible to consult the official site of the institution or just to contact the admission office of the desired college/university.</p>
