The field of audiology does have a good future. According to a report by the Times of India, around 50 million people need the services of speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Currently, India has fewer than 5000 audiologists. This is demonstrated by the fact that more colleges are now providing paramedical audiology courses, such as BASLP and B.Sc. This profession is in high demand not only in hospitals but also in special schools and rehabilitation centers.
