Is there a great variation in gender ratio within cabin crew members on Indian and international carriers?

Gender ratio of females versus males for cabin crews is definitely different in Indian Carriers as compared with carriers from abroad. A lot depends on availability of talent pool and the socioeconomic conditions of population strata in countries. In India females are considered fit for the job to be serving to people. Also, a large number of young girls just out of the school are without jobs hence they queue up for any job at any pay. Hence there is large female talent pool available here.
