Is there a need to worry if my college is not UGC approved but is AICTE approved?

In case you are joining a course which is being run by a recognized UGC approved university, you do not have to fear whether it is AICTE approved or not. The main aim after doing the course is one or more of the following: To have a legal, legitimate and valid degree To join public sector To join private sector job To study further in India or abroad To be self employed If you are joining a UGC approved university course, even if it is not approved by AICTE you will not suffer on any of the above accounts. Another point is that universities DO NOT require AICTE approval compulsorily, even if they might apply and take approval to add another feather to their cap. It is the colleges which require compulsory AICTE approval, so if you are directly studying at the university, you do not need to worry about the above point.
