Hi,
Actuarial Science courses are offered at many levels and in different disciplines.
Admission to most of courses is based on merit system but some MBA programs in Actuarial Science specialisation require exam like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc.
Admission to BSc, BCom, etc. is based on merit.

Hello Tanisa,
Yes, there is an entrance exam for actuaries.
ACET - Actuarial Common Entrance Test is applicable to those who plan to enroll as student members of IAI and wish to take actuarial examinations from the IAI (institute of actuaries of India).
ACET is conducted 2 times every year.
