Placement in LPU is a very tricky affair. You've to join summer classes which will be paid. If you'll not go for these classes you'll be debarred from placement opportunities. They'll teach you certain things in those classes, which I found totally redundant. Mechanical department is very crowded in LPU which provides a lot of difficulties as you cannot get em all placed. You've to be extraordinary ('extra' is in literal sense). Now, I'll share my experience. Yes, LPU offers twin degree programme i. e 2 years study in LPU and 2 years in overseas in LPU's partner universities and you get the degree from the partner university. Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT, commerce, arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .
