Yes, you can change your branch in first year after that, you can't change your stream in 2nd or 3rd year.

Placement in LPU is a very tricky affair. You've to join summer classes which will be paid. If you'll not go for these classes you'll be debarred from placement opportunities. They'll teach you certain things in those classes, which I found totally redundant. Mechanical department is very crowded in
