Is there any age restrictions for appearing in LPU PET?

In the early semesters, students study core computer-science fundamentals — including programming (Python, sometimes Java/C/C+), data structures and algorithms, databases, operating systems, computer networks, and other building-block courses like mathematics (linear algebra, probability and statistics), which are essential for ML. 

As the course progresses, the AI/ML-specific modules come into play. These include Machine Learning (both supervised and unsupervised learning), Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Expert / Intelligent Systems, and AI applications — equipping students to work on speech processing, image recognition, NLP tasks, and building intelligent systems. 

Beyond theory, LPU emphasizes practical learning: students work in AI labs, handle real-world datasets, build models, and do projects. The syllabus also offers electives and specialisation opportunities, internships, and “industry-interface” courses — ensuring exposure to real-world problems, not only classroom exercises.
