Is there any chance of getting an IIT if one clears the cut-off with poor marks in JEE Mains but scores well in JEE Advanced?

    JEE Mains is just like a qualifying round. JEE Advanced marks/ranks are independent of boards percentage as well as JEE Mains marks.

    Yes sure. If one is qualified the JEE main and score very good in JEE Advanced then the chances are very high to get the college. Also it depend upon the category you belong. In JEE Advanced also you need to score more than cutoff not just cutoff marks only. Have confident in yourself. Hope for the best.
