    Computer Science normally stared in the maths department in most of the schools. A few come out of electrical engineering, and I saw one with a firm leg in the physics department, but you can look at the grounding in maths and computation to solve problems. Their interests will be along the lines of theory, algorithms and implementation of core concepts. The study of how to make an OS or network. degrees in IT have generally come out of the business school, but not entirely. The focus has been on how to use these tools to solve business problems.
