Is there any difference between M.S and M.Sc abroad in the feild of engineering

Both MS and M.Sc are similar degree. For example, postgraduate degree in electronics engineering is called MS electronics in USA and M.Sc electronics in Germany. Even in India sometime back PG degree in engineering in few universities was called M.Sc (Engg).
