According to the most recent information available, Goa University does not administer a separate entrance exam for admission to its MA programmes. Admission to MA courses at Goa University is generally based on merit, which is assessed by the candidate's achievement in their undergraduate degree (usually a Bachelor's degree in the relevant area). For final selection, the institution may examine additional variables such as reserved category requirements, as well as conduct interviews or counselling sessions. Yes, for admission to MA (except Wellness and Counselling) at Goa University, students need to qualify Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) entrance exam. It is a common in-house entrance exam conducted by the university itself for all PG courses. The marks/ percentage obtained by the candidate while graduating would only be used to ascertain the eligibility of candidates for the programme. The purpose of the GU-ART is only to rank the prospective candidates and not for determination of pass/ fail.
