A little higher perches Graphic Design, Fashion Design, jewellery design, Acting, and Fine Arts which rely on one of your artistic skills - sketching and imagination. At a similar level perches VFX as well as Motion Graphics which rely on one of your artistic skills - Cinematographic skills and imagination. Then come careers like Animation, Film Making, Game Design which rely on multiple talents like your authority over sketching, acting, direction, voice, sound, writing, storytelling and problem solving skills etc. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world and hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers. Sure Pratibha, Interior designers would always be required. But interestingly, the same skillset is used for web desinging which is booming. So it pays to be open to ideas and changes. And you still get to use your creativity in the same way as in interiors. So why wait, you are just a short course away from a wonderful career. Web Design course at Arena is 12-15 months on normal track. The course is called GWDD. The earliest you can start for a career in interior designing is 10+2. However, it is essential to have excellent drawing and designing skills to get into this job profile. Furthermore, if you have knowledge of decorative items, home improvement products and basics of architecture, then it becomes easier to follow this particular career path.
You can get into this profession at different levels of your academic life be it a 10+2 or a post-graduate program. However, most of the students generally opt for short and long term diploma courses. All these courses can cost you around Rs 15,000 to Rs 50,000 roughly.
