Is there any governing body which monitors the performance of lawyers in India?

Thanks@||Prateek66345|| me for inviting to answer this query posted by James . James Bar council of India is regulating the lawyers business but the council is not monitoring the performance of lawyers.

No there is no Government body in India monitoring the performance of Lawyers.
