As per the official guidelines for the LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPU NEST), there is no negative marking of marks for the wrong answer or an unattempted question during the exam.

This is true for several programmes for which LPUNEST is organized, i.e.,

    B.Tech
    MBA
    Undergraduate Design Courses
    M.Tech
And other undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Hence, those who are sitting for LPU NEST need not fear losing marks for wrong attempts. This motivates them to go for all the questions in the examination.

Yes, the LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) includes negative marking to discourage random guessing and ensure students answer confidently. Typically, for every correct answer, candidates are awarded a certain number of marks, often 4 marks, while incorrect answers result in the deduction of marks, usually 1 mark or a fraction of the awarded marks. The exact negative marking scheme may vary depending on the specific exam and program. To minimize unnecessary deductions, students are advised to attempt only those questions they are confident about, especially in cases where there is no "mark f

No, there's no negative marking in LPUNEST, which is honestly a big plus for students. You don't lose any marks for wrong answers, so even if you're unsure about a few questions, it's worth giving them a try. There's no penalty, so you're encouraged to attempt all the questions without second-guessing yourself too much.

This makes the exam a bit more student-friendly compared to many other entrance tests. You can go in with a calm mind and aim to maximize your score without the fear of losing marks. It's especially helpful in sections where you're not fully confident you still stand a chance to score if you make an educated guess.
