No, there is no negative marking in the UPTET exam. In the UPTET exam, candidates are given four choices for every question. Candidates need to select the one correct answer out of the four given options. One mark is allotted for every correct answer. There is no negative marking in the exam. The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has not mentioned any negative marking scheme in the UPTET exam. This means that candidates are not penalized for incorrect answers in the UPTET exam. Candidates are advised to attempt all the questions in the UPTET exam to maximize their chances of scoring well.

In the UPTET exam, papers 1 and 2 contain 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. Paper 1 comprises 5 sections I. e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 comprises 4 sections with a choice in the fourth one I. e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. UPTET Marking Scheme: 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the UPTET exam. For more information, you may visit the Shiksha UPTET exam page.
