    Yes, there is. Marks obtained by students in the qualifying examinations conducted by various Boards or authorities will be equated with those from the Tamil Nadu State Board using a normalization method.

    For instance, if the highest mark in Physics for a State Board student is 100 and the highest mark for a student from another board is 90, both will be considered equal to 100. If a student from the other board scores 60 marks in Physics, given that the highest mark on that board is 90, their score will be normalized to 66. The normalization formula is (60/90) * 100 = 66.66%.
