Is there any option to get admission in LPU if I don't appear for LPU NEST? I want to study BHM course.

    Hie ! Being an alumni of LPU. I would like to throw some light on the Bachelors of Hotel management. The course is meant for students looking for demanding positions in hospitality sector. The students can expect managerial positions after few years of experience. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)
    Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.     Well for Hotel Management programme, LPU NEST is not mandatory. Therefore you can apply for admissions directly. In addition LPU NEST can serve a scholarship purpose for you.     Admission in LPU is open these days. During this period of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, to support prospective students (candidates) to apply for admissions, direct online/remote admissions (subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria) process has been started. There are two courses in Hotel Management at LPU. B.Sc. Hotel Management and Bachelor of Hotel Mgt. And Catering Technology. Eligibility for admission in these courses is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. There is No Entrance Exam. In any of these courses.     Hi, Yes, but you need to meet the eligibility criteria that is pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. It means if you have more than equal to 50 percent in 10+2 you can take admission. During the current lockdown period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to support candidates, LPU has initiated a fully online application to the admission process. Moreover, LPU offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPU NEST Sports, Defence, COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship, and many more. Yes, Candidates must definitely take the LPU NEST admit card to the exam hall. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. Candidates must carry a valid ID proof along with the admit card.

Yes, students can get admission in LPU without LPUNEST if they have scores of other accepted exams. The university conducts LPUNEST as both a scholarship and entrance test. Students can instead submit scores of the following exams as well:

  • JEE Mains for BTech admission
  • CAT/ XAT/ MAT for MBA admission
  • CUET-PG for MSc, MCA, etc. 
  • GATE for M.Tech admission
  • NATA for BArch admission
