Is there any placement in LPU for LL.B. Programme?

LPU Approved by Bar Council of India, Law Discipline is one of the best Law colleges in India and Punjab. Our students are groomed for bright professional careers by providing wide range of exposure to theoretical as well as practical aspects of law. The discipline organizes international conferences, visits by nationally acclaimed law practitioners to allow the students gain skills and experience in the field of law. Students get real-time experiences through moot court competitions organized at national and international levels. The students have interned in reputed law firms and under High Court judges of different states. Special career counseling led by industry experts and members of academia is held for students who register for placements to determine their niche area of interest in the legal field. At School of Law, students are exposed to listen and share pearls of wisdom from eminent persons who come from higher judiciary, academia and industry. Notably, Honble Justice Sh. Raj Shekhar Attri (Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court) and Honble Justice AHMD Nawaz (Honble Judge, Court of Appeal, Sri Lanka and Dr. Arti Puri (Eminent Academician) interacted with students through conference, guest lecture and workshop activities. Judgments of superior courts in India serve as precedents and constitute an indispensable part of the study of a law. Special emphasis is put on imparting case law techniques involving detailed analysis of a case. There is Moot Court Training to Arm Law Students for Facing Legal Challenges. There are debating and quiz clubs Students are also taken to courts in the state including High Court at Chandigarh, Supreme Court of India at New Delhi and Police Training Academy to familiarize students with first-hand account of policing and investigation techniques.

LPU offers more than 250 programmes where Law is one among them. The School of Law is governed and regulated by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and its curriculum is also provided by BCI and in order to make students top-to-date and the latest trends in the field of law, the School of Law takes initiatives to modify the curriculum as and when need arises. Students have undergone internships at various High Courts, law firms, law chambers, commissions, corporate houses and NGOs. The Alumni's are working as Judicial officers, Legal practitioners and Corporate advisors and Civil servants. In addition to this, MOOT court sessions are also provided to experience the scenario of courts. Some of the companies which have made or shown interest in recruitment from our campus are: MAP Legal Corporation, Manupatra & Co, Integrity Associates, LEGASIS, Thomson Reuters have recruited the students and many more at the annual package of Rs. 300000 per annum and above.
