Is there any preference in the IES exam for civil and mechanical students?

I have done my B.Tech in ceramic engineering and I want to prepare for IES exam.

    No, there is no any preference for IES. Only Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in the field of engineering from a recognized University.
