Hi there, Being an alumni as well as an existing student at LPU, it is a pleasure to share my experience. Let me tell you that as far as I know, I have never seen such a safe place to be at than LPU. LPU is a complete ragging-free institute with a mesmerizing environment. I would share my own experience of LPU. I have been an LPUian from past 4 years now, and this has been one of the best decisions of my life. I have pursued Masters degree from LPU and now pursuing Ph.D. from the same. I have been staying in LPU-hostels for all the time and it has felt not less than home. Ragging is a big thing, there are strict rules against such in-disciplinary activities. Anyone found doing such thing is suspended from the university. There are CCTV cameras everywhere in the campus, in classrooms, in hostel-corridors. I feel, LPU is the safest place to be in. A student always has a sense of "all is well" in terms of security staying over here. I will share my idea to this question with my previous 2 years of involvement inside LPU. LPU is so much strict about ragging and violence. At LPU I never have seen or heard any ragging act occurred ever. LPU is a renowned private university in India and it is eminent for its discipline. It is completely secured with CCTV cameras and effective security guards standing at 100 meters. LPU is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs, and disciplinary misconduct. Automated entryway turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to a residential facility (hostel) and every GATE is connected to the warden office so that the location of particular students can track in a couple of moments. In the last 12 years, no case has been accounted for the same because of the fact that LPU is very strict towards its principles, norms, and rules. LPU university is a completely ANTI RAGGING educational organisation. There is an Anti-Ragging association working 24*7 for looking regarding these matters.

I am a pass out from LPU and have profoundly utilized my time here in shaping my personality along with self-analysis. Unlike other universities, rules and regulations are quite strict here. From academics to extra-curricular activities, thorough support is given by our mentors/seniors, professors and management. The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility. Manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The University has its very own fire station department. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitored. LPU has a strong anti ragging policy: no such kind of activities is seen and tolerated in the universities. In the past 12 years, no case has been reported for the same because LPU is very strict towards their rules and regulations. The punishment for ragging is in accordance with the UGC (University Grants Commission) Regulations made to curb this menace; apart from any penal laws that are in force at that time and it applies to the situation. To ensure that no fresher faces ragging in any form, the University authorities have issued the following guidelines/suggestions: Their are students of all races, communities, cultures, tradition, countries etc. Studying here in the university from all over India and the world. With quality education, LPU provides good holistic development of the students to tackle the corporate world and achieve ones dream. LPU will ensure the identity of a student who reports the incident (s) of ragging shall be protected and shall not be subject to any adverse consequences for reporting the incidents.

Lovely Professional University is really good University. Right from the teachers to placements, everything amazing and taken care of. I really feel as alumni of LPU, that it is one of the best institution and really works hard to better its students in every way possible. I have studied in this university and I never had seen any such acts neither faced such situations personally. Lovely Professional University is ragging free educational organisation. Campus is very strict about for ragging and violence. There is an Anti-Ragging Committee designed as well for looking on these topics. In the past 13 years no case has been reported for the same because LPU is very strict towards their rules and regulations. Its atmosphere is very friendly with lots of security persons in its 600 acres of campus. You will SEE one security person after every 100 meters and they show quick response. Also CCTV cameras are well installed around every corner of university to figure out any issue- in hostels, classrooms, gates, lawns etc. Ragging is totally prohibited in LPU, and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively or being a part of conspiracy of ragging is liable to be punished. University has an separate ANTI-RAGGING committee to monitor such activities inside campus. You would love the Environment here.

Being an educational consultant, I have discussed with many alumni of LPU related to this, Even, I have not heard anything related to ragging at LPU in my career. Therefore, if I talk about ragging at LPU. NO THERE IS NOT ! LPU DOES NOT TOLERATE RAGGING, DISCRIMINATION REGARDING COLOR, CASTE, AND LOOKS OF INDIVIDUALS and has a strict policy to deal against it. LPU has more than 6000 foreign students from more than 70 countries including Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Srilanka, Bangladesh, etc. 24/7 Security and Hospital Services LPU is a world in itself, from 8 stored shopping mall (where one can buy from clothes to laptops, etc. ), Eateries like Domino's, food of any taste, Gaming hubs, etc. NON-Veg has also been facilitated in LPU now, one does not have to leave the campus for anything. 24/7 security and hospital and ambulance service are provided. Boys are not allowed in Girls Hostels and girls cannot leave the university without parents' approval. Female securities are there to deal with females. LPU has a strong anti-ragging policy: no such kind of activity is seen and tolerated in the universities. Because of so much diversity available, everybody: may it be of race, culture, ethnicity, country, all are same and everybody is respected. ALL ARE ONLY STUDENTS inside the LPU, while one is free to express their culture and values without any restrictions. In events like One World and One India, one is able to express their cultures and tradition in healthy competition. There are students of all races, communities, cultures, traditions, countries, etc. Studying here in the university from all over India and the world. With quality education, LPU provides good holistic development of the students to tackle the corporate world and achieve one's dream. Recommendation/Suggestions: However as one can understand, these services are available for on the campus accommodation, that is by using accommodation in the University. I would advise using on-campus accommodation. There are various accommodation facilities available outside the university and one cannot be able to provide safety to the students residing off-campus or outside the university. But while on campus or inside the campus, the university to the best of its knowledge and capability will provide safety to its students without any discrimination. I hope this helps Thank You!

No Not at all ! There is no ragging in LPU. Ragging is totally prohibited in university. If someone is found voilating the rules and regulations would be punished according to UGC guidelines. So the association between seniors and juniors is quite amicable. There are no complications and rather they behave in much friendly manner. I remember one of the incidents where I was stuck up with some technical glitch in my preparation of the presentation and how one of the seniors had helped me and also lent me her laptop. Because of her only I was able to give my presentation. I hope this would help!

And also the seniors will be so supportive for any kind of problems you will face from study to enjoyment. Senors will be too friendly and they can help you as much as possible. There will be a lot of security guards at every hostel and all along the roads of LPU. There are CCTV cameras everywhere on campus, in classrooms, in hostel-corridors.

It is perfectly safe to attend classes at LPU as it is the biggest university campus with strong management and relevant and stringent rules. The environment on campus is peaceful as well as enthusiastic. With daily events and functions going on in the largest private university (LPU), the aura of the university is one sight to SEE. Ragging is strictly prohibited at LPU. I have an international friend on campus and he says that he loves the ambiance and liveliness of the campus and loves his time there. He's a bright mind who's developing and thriving in the great environment of LPU. With the freedom to achieve dreams come responsibilities too. 1. LPU has stringent security measures and is Guarded by highly dedicated Security male and Female Guards deputed all around the premises 2. LPU has a Centralised Security Control Room with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university. 3. The head of the security of the university is also under the retired Brigadier (Indian Army) ensuring strict compliance of law and regulation in the university. 4. Zero-tolerance Policy for Drugs, Ragging, Eve-teasing 5. There's free internet provided for you. 6. You must carry id card with you every time you want to enter or leave the hostel since it is bio-metric. 7. You can come to your room at any time you want. 24 hours check-in and checkout. But however, you must be inside the university before 8 pm (not in the hostel).

Whenever you are choosing any University, you must first check about its environment, rules, and regulations. For your studies and development, you must require a proper environment where you can make your personality and learn discipline, making you more professional and active. If you want to grow and also want a safe environment then LPU is really a very better option for you. With some of my points, I can assure you that this university will provide you with the best and the safest environment for your growth and development. In LPU, a student should follow each and every rule very strictly. If any of them are found disobeying any rule, then a big punishment is there for them and they may also get suspended. So, here rules are followed very strictly and by doing this we can learn discipline. Ragging is strictly prohibited here. Nobody in this university is allowed to do ragging or bullying any student. If however, you find anyone doing such kind of activities you can complain about it to any faculty or any other staff about it and he or she will definitely get punished for such things. So, anyone roams freely on the campus without any fear. The Guards are present everywhere within the campus to maintain to protect the students and to provide any kind of facilities to them. Due to their presence, no student can think do any kind to of bad activity like teasing, bullying or harming other fellows. If you need any help you can ask the guards. They have very kind and friendly nature and they are always there to help you. Girls who are staying in hostels are given a fixed time to enter their respective hostels. The timings are 6 pm during winters and 7 or 7:30 during summers. No girl is allowed to go outside the hostel after this time or if any girl comes late then their respective wardens give a phone call to their parents to tell about it. This step is taken to provide safety to girls. Due to this rule, our parents are assured that we are safe. Use of alcohol, cigarettes or any kind of harmful things is strictly prohibited in the campus. Nobody not allowed to drink alcohol or taking drugs on campus. If anyone is found doing such things, his/her scholarship gets canceled and he or she will be suspended. Every facility like mall, hospital, playground, food courts and many more things are present within the campus so that nobody has to go far away to buy or get anything. You can get anything you want inside the campus.
