The fee for applying is not going to be returned back, and you won't get it back even when it's impossible for you to sit for the exam, just like everyone else missing it, and that's why you should ideally go for that one.

No, the application fee once paid is non-refundable. Even if a candidate does not appear for the exam for any reason, the application fee will not be refunded. The candidates must try to appear for exam without fail.
