Is there any role of college in the placement of any student,or it entirely depends up the student capability?

Regarding any engineering course like ECE etc...

BOTH. Companies choose the colleges to visit by its reputation. Then comes the college placement unit rules, few good colleges do not allow companies which offer less than 4 LPA, like BITS Pilani, so TCS never came till last year it offered 8LPA. Companies Comes by interest of college and Placement officer of the college. And after that it totally depends upon student how he performs in the interview..............
