Is there any scope in India for game development/programming course?

I have completed my engineering in computer. But I have interest in game development. And people say in game development, there is no scope. Rather, you continue in your area be a software developer.

Indian IT industry primary business is Applications Development and Maintenance and only few companies are in the business of games development. International Games Development companies very rarely outsource game development to India. List of small Indian companies does manual testing of games developed abroad. Games Development is a niche area, therefore, it is recommended that unless you are passionate about games development, you may not specialise in games development.
