B.Sc. forestry graduates have the following options in front of them:
    1) Central Forest Department of Indian government
    2) Forest Official in state forest department of the Govt. of India.
    3) Indian Forest Services (IFS)
There is a stringent interview and selection process for these posts.
In case of private sector jobs, forest graduates have the following options with them:
    1) Plantation and Resort Manager
    2) Forest product management
    3) Research and development manager

There is very little scope for forestry graduates and it is only in the states which has good forest cover or area. Those states which have very little area under forest has negligible scope except agricultural officers in bank.

Ample job opportunities are available for B.Sc Forestry graduates in the Forest Department of Indian Government. One may land the job of a forester or forest department officer in State Governments Forest Department. For this, one has to go through the selection process and examination though. In case of private sector jobs, some job posts available are- plantation and resort manager, forest product marketing, forest products purchasing manager, Research and Development sector, etc. One may also follow up B.Sc with M.Sc and take up a teaching job also.
