Yes. There are both types of cutoff in JEE Advanced:
- Sectional cutoff, which means the minimum marks needed in physics, chemistry and maths
- The overall cutoff is the minimum marks needed in total to pass the exam.
In 2025, the sectional JEE Advanced cutoff was 5.83% (7marks) to be included in the common rank list (CRL). The same in 2024 was 8.68% (10 marks).
On the other hand, the overall cutoff in 2025 was 20.56% (74 marks). In 2024, the same was 30.34% (109 marks).
