Is there any transport facility for day scholars?

Yes LPU has there own buses plying in all major directions in Jalandhar, Phagwara and the major surrounding areas. Transport facility is allotted on annual basis for students admitted for regular programme for the duration of regular academic session. (b) All rights of permission to avail the transport facility are reserved with the University and can be denied to any student. No student shall be entitled to claim this facility as a matter of right. (c) Transport facility will be allotted on First Come First Serve basis. E&OE. (d) Routes and pick up points are indicative and are subject to change from time to time. (e) Transport facility will be provided till the end of the regular academic session including regular exams. It is generally not provided after end of academic session for any purpose like summer school/reappear examination/ make up examination/PEP classes etc. However in case Transport facility is provided by the University after the end of regular academic session for any purpose like summer school/reappear examination/ make up examination/PEP classes etc. , additional proportionate charges for Transport and its administration will have to be paid by the student as prescribed by the University.

Yes, to my idea transport facility for day scholars is available, but you could refer to the LPU website for clarity, Hostels in LPU are more than secure with few restrictions on students which could help them become disciplined. Like day scholars are not allowed in hostels. And even hostels are not allowed to go in other hostels this is weird but for security purposes it is good. And for clarity, I have made this restriction in point have a look at below points. 1) 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict action used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of to such rules. 2) Students are not allowed to enter any other Hostel without permission of the authority. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. 3) Boys are allowed to go outside the campus as per requirement but they need to return back & report to Hostel by 8 PM. 4) Special Permission will be extended to Boys student for a night out with the written permission of the Warden & Parents. 5) Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. Though there are many restrictions you can observe from the above-mentioned points for the hostellers but believe me at the end of the day you will find it necessary for all your security & safety. These restrictions would definitely make you learn how to lead your life in a controlled environment. Campus Security Surveillance : LPU campus is equipped with 6500+ CCTV surveillance a 24X7. Which adds more security. 400+ Security Officials are there. LPU security team includes experienced ex-military men and women. That's it from my side hope this will help.
