Is there is a need of doing Diploma to pursue B.Tech from LPU?

Prahalad, no there is no need to diploma for B.Tech. If you have done 12th and have scored 60% marks, then along with valid JEE score or LPUNEST score you can get admission in B.Tech. The eligibility is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main) OR In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main) will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.

No, Diploma is not needed for B.Tech. You can do B.Tech after completing class 12th.
