    MD in Cardiology is a 3- year full- time postgraduate programme in medicine. The aim of this course is diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery diseases, heart failure, valvular heart diseases and electrophysiology. The career is job- oriented in nature and offers many jobs opportunities for successful postgraduates. An M. B. S or equivalent degree in Science is required for admission in this course. Top institutes for this course are: A. J. Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Kasturba Medical College, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
