    No, a written test (online Computer based test) is the first step if you go for MCA in a prestigious institutes ex. NITs. Otherwise, you can get direct admission to private colleges if seats are available.

    MCA Admission 2023 is done based on an entrance exam for most of the colleges. Top colleges shortlist the candidates based on their performance in MCA entrance exams like NIMCET, IPU CET, TANCET, etc. However, some of the top MCA colleges shortlist the students on a merit basis i.e. performance in graduation; preferably the BCA course. However, Christ University offers admission to the MCA course based on a candidates performance in a micro presentation and a personal interview.
