Is this a right decision to opt CU instead of LPU for B.Sc. Agriculture?

I believe Lovely professional university is good in all the aspects. Lovely professional university is the first private university to get accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). LPU provides the quality education by the well qualified teachers. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. In the situation of Covid-19, LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms. Because of which LPU NEST is not compulsory for all the programmes. As for this programme LPU NEST works for scholarship purpose only. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. University provides additional professional enhancement classes as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. Students of agriculture are availing a good amount of packages from the recruiters. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms. Admissions are going on, to grab the opportunity apply without any delay. LPU is ICAR accreditation while CU is not, this can lead to quite a tricky situation for you in your future. Being an agrarian country, it has huge scope and will never run out of job opportunities in either government sector or private sector both plus entrepreneurship opportunities too. Lots of Government as well as Private job opportunities are present for fresh graduates Some government sector opportunities are in: Indian Agricultural Research Institute North Eastern Region Agricultural Marketing Corporation Agri finance corporations ICAR Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Seeds Corporation Limited State Farms Corporation of India FCI National Dairy Development Board NABARD etc. Private Sector jobs: Managers at Plantations Biochemist Environmental Engineer Bioinformatics Scientist Agronomy Sales Manager Agricultural Engineer Food Scientist Animal Geneticist Agri Operations Manager Officers at Fertilizer Manufacturers Managers at Agri Machinery Industries Agri Products Marketing firms Food processing units etc. Agro industries Agriculture Marketing Financial sector with focus on agriculture Micro-finance institutions Agri business managers Agri equipment salespeople Agri inspectors Animal control officers and many more. But you need to pursue from top university like LPU to get the right exposure for performing any of these jobs with efficiency. Hello, As per my experience, I would say choose LPU. LPU is the first private university accredited by ICAR. It has set certain standards and for this FEAT it has received many accolades. The experienced faculty along with the high standards maintained for the grooming of students has made it a hub of academic excellence. The sprawling infra structure aids the practical knowledge needed for this field and well-equipped labs have been provided to propel the career of students to a zenith. LPU understands the importance of uninterrupted education and so offers scholarships for the sectors, on the marks qualified, national level award, defense, sports, etc. It has also moved forward to aid education at such grim times by offering financial assistance in the form of covid scholarships. As all exams have not been conducted as per schedule, hence LPU again has come forward to assist the students. So the last two qualifications would be considered for scholarship and you can avail the higher bracket LPU has external research funding worth 1.8 Million INR In LPU hands on training, practical crop production, rural and agriculture work experience (RAWE), Nursery raising for horticulture crops, crop and SEED Identification, soil and water sampling and analysis, soil description and Interpretation, organic and chemical fertilizer, manure identification and application etc. Are carried out in the campus. Curriculum in LPU is as per the guidelines of ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research) and is designed to train students to understand ways of improving the crop production in a sustainable manner and to provide overall knowledge related to agriculture. # Agricultural graduates have wide scope of career in public sector and private sector. In fact entrepreneurship is a great opportunity to pursue your prospective career in agricultural field. It is just a myth that Agriculture does not offer job opportunities. # The demand for graduates with a degree in agriculture is increasing every day in India and abroad. B.Sc. Agriculture is a 4 year undergraduate professional course offered by Lovely Professional University.
