Is this a right decision to opt CU instead of LPU for B.Sc. Agriculture?

LPU is ICAR accreditation while CU is not, this can lead to quite a tricky situation for you in your future. Being an agrarian country, it has huge scope and will never run out of job opportunities in either government sector or private sector both plus entrepreneurship opportunities too. Lots of Government as well as Private job opportunities are present for fresh graduates Some government sector opportunities are in: Indian Agricultural Research Institute North Eastern Region Agricultural Marketing Corporation Agri finance corporations ICAR Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Seeds Corporation Limited State Farms Corporation of India FCI National Dairy Development Board NABARD etc. Private Sector jobs: Managers at Plantations Biochemist Environmental Engineer Bioinformatics Scientist Agronomy Sales Manager Agricultural Engineer Food Scientist Animal Geneticist Agri Operations Manager Officers at Fertilizer Manufacturers Managers at Agri Machinery Industries Agri Products Marketing firms Food processing units etc. Agro industries Agriculture Marketing Financial sector with focus on agriculture Micro-finance institutions Agri business managers Agri equipment salespeople Agri inspectors Animal control officers and many more. But you need to pursue from top university like LPU to get the right exposure for performing any of these jobs with efficiency. Hi, No, it's not the right decision. You must go to a university that is ICAR approved. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is the apex body for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education in agriculture in the entire country. If the University is ICAR approved, It means the university has all the resources like fields, labs, etc. The institution features well-equipped laboratories, a library, lecture rooms, and a fantastic farm where agricultural experiments can be conducted. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance Retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics, and many other companies use School of Agriculture graduates. 7 Students Received a 3.74 LPA Offer 7 students from the School of Agriculture have been hired as Retail-Agri executives at HDFC, India's the largest private bank, with a starting annual remuneration of 3.75 LPA. The international camp was held to allow students to showcase their projects on sustainable water resource management. University provides unique inputs in the form of placement classes to prepare students for placements. Students receive extensive on-the-job training as well as opportunities to work on projects that pay well. I am having a vice-versa opinion. Lovely professional university is the first private university to get accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). LPU provides the quality education by the well qualified teachers. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. University provides additional professional enhancement classes as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. Students of agriculture are availing a good amount of packages from the recruiters. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms.
