Yes, it is an autonomous college situated in Bangalore. Before Alliance University was known as Alliance Business Academy which was founded by Madhukar G. Angur, he was an honorary Dean of the Alliance Business School and his brother Sudhir G. Angur, was the president. Alliance University was established in the state of Karnataka by act no 34 of the year 2010 under the recognition University Grant Commission of the Ministry of Education (India) (MOE).
