It is one of the best university in South India.
Your journalism will be in safe hands if you join in this university and their extra courses will make you skilled and professional in those aspects, their journalism will focus on print journalism and theory aspects.
Although I don't have much idea about the colleges in Southern part of India but I've done some research and found that Christ University has a very good reputation. It stands in top 5 for most of the trending courses it offers.
Still for deeper insight you can mail the admission department asking them for the last 5 years placement trends, because at the end job is the thing

Christ indeed is one of the best universities for journalism and media studies. With the kind is facilities, faculty and classroom environment as well the exposure allowed, one gets to learn a lot. Plus the assignments are designed in a way that will build your portfolio, which is very important for this field. Yes there are placements and you have the option of being placed either in a corporate company, start up or the giants of the Indian media. But yes a lot will depend on how good you present yourself at the interview (Christ will train you in that automatically) and how good your portfolio is.
