Is this university best for this course or not? I am 12th passout and got 80%. .

First lets understand what is Forensic Science? The application of scientific methodology and knowledge to criminal investigations and legal matters. A multidisciplinary subject, it encompasses various fields of Science such as chemistry, physics, geology, biology, psychology, engineering and social Science etc. Forensic Science is a subject that fascinates many. For Science and criminal justice, it is a major study. Presently it is essentially a crime laboratory-based profession. The scope of Forensic Science has increased exponentially due to increase in crime rate and criminals. Various profiles include some of the forensic scientists who visit the crime scene to collect the evidence themselves and others work in a forensic laboratory to perform analysis on objects. As the forensic laboratory experts, they also testify as observers in both criminal and civil cases and can work for either the defense or the prosecution. In government sector these professionals work in different law enforcement agencies and investigation departments such as police, investigative services of state and central government and legal system. Some of the private agencies also employed those candidates who have some qualification in this field. The highly trained and experienced forensic scientist may hire by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) & Intelligence Bureau (IB) and RAW in India and by FBI, MI6 KGB kind of agencies abroad. You can also work as a freelancer as forensic scientists specializing in one segment (e. g. forensic audit of accounts) & can be paid much. Positions of legal counselor also open up after gaining experience as a Forensic Scientist. Teaching is another interesting career, which is also evergreen, but merely graduation may not be enough for forensic scientists for teaching positions.
