Yes, you have to under go training in which trainer will train you all those technology which will we required at time of field work. Rest if you want to learn something extra by your side that is also most welcome.

Training never hurt anyone, however I don't think it is mandatory if you want to take part in the recruitment drive in your college. You should check with the placement cell of your college for rules regarding the placement drive for your department.
