Is true that LPU campus is very much secured?

Hello! LPU is good for both Girls and Boys. My elder sister has done her Master's from a lovely professional university and I know many of my female friends who were part of LPU. I understand there is a bit of concern while taking admission, especially for a girl candidate. LPU is always appreciated for its safety, rules, and regulations. Managing academics and taking appropriate measures towards the safety and security of students is always taken care of by LPU. Taking about the safety of students in LPU, I can assure you that you won't even feel as safe as in LPU rather than any other place in the world, not even in your home town. Considering in mind all the incidents in such big metro cities such as Delhi or Mumbai, you are completely safe round the clock, until you are inside the campus. LPU has the largest no. Of CCTV cameras installed in India (beating even IGI Airport ). The moment you enter the main GATE of LPU, you can consider yourself marked under the safe zone. Still, for reference, I am writing down point-by-point details regarding the safety of Girls. One more thing, it is not just about the safety of Girl candidates, each and every person including all the students (Both girls and boys), staff members, faculty consider them safe inside LPU. Hostelers (Girls) are not allowed to go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permission from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards, and CCTVs so no loopholes where they can sneak from. 24/7 Guarded university with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university. Specific cameras are installed on the main entrance of every building or block to keep a check on in and out movement of everyone. Girls have to check in their specific hostels at a specified time as set by university people. Usually, girls have check-in times of around 7 pm. An online system for check-in and verifying is followed in LPU. Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs of time and will be accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. NO OUTSIDERS are allowed in the university without a GATE pass. Meaning even if parents of students come for a visit, they have access to the university through a GATE pass only. Yes, LPU does provide hostels to students that are so secure with restrictions on students in place. Like day scholars and outsiders are not allowed in hostels for security purposes. And for clarity, I have made this restriction in point have a look at below points. 1) 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict action used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of to such rules. 2) Students are not allowed to enter any other Hostel without permission of the authority. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. 3) Boys are allowed to go outside the campus as per requirement but they need to return back & report to Hostel by 8 PM. 4) Special Permission will be extended to Boys student for a night out with the written permission of the Warden & Parents. 5) Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. Though there are many restrictions you can observe from the above-mentioned points for the hostellers but believe me at the end of the day you will find it necessary for all your security & safety. These restrictions would definitely make you learn how to lead your life in a controlled environment. Campus Security Surveillance : LPU campus is equipped with 6500+ CCTV surveillance a 24X7. Yes, this is absolutely true that there is high security at campus of LPU. LPU university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility. It is manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. Our security team includes experienced ex-military men and women. A dedicated & expert department of security officials and personnel are on duty 24 x 7 to ensure that no drug ever enters the campus. A majority of security personnel and gunmen are experienced ex-servicemen, fully equipped and trained. Lady security staff are specially recruited for girls hostel security. LPU has more CCTVs than even the New Delhi International Airport. The security department provides the necessary electronic security support system with more than 4000 CCTV cameras for the safety of the students and staff. The University has its very own fire station department, fully equipped with a fire truck and trained firemen. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored.

LPU is one of the safest campuses of the world. With 4000+ CCTV cameras, 400+ security persons, A+ fire stations and high tech security gadgets LPU ensure ragging free environment. The hostels of LPU are very well managed and are one of the safest residential place for a student to live in. With 4000+ CCTV cameras and more than 400 security persons, LPU has zero tolerance towards ragging or any other unlawful activities. In my opinion one should stay in hostel of LPU because those hostels are maintained quiet well. LPU has a dedicated committee to deal with the issues of ragging and it is very strict against anyone doing ragging in any form in the campus. They even rusticate the student if found guilty. Some security features of LPU campus are: 1. Their security team includes experienced ex-military men and women. Lady security staff are specially recruited for girls hostel security. 2. LPU has Zero tolerance towards drugs & alcohol. A dedicated & expert department of security officials and personnel are on duty 24 x 7 to ensure that no drug ever enters the campus. 3. Fun Fact, LPU has more CCTVs than even the New Delhi International Airport. In short, when you are in LPU, you need to worry about the safety and just focus on studies.
