The University of Madras, Guindy Campus (UNOM) is generally rated as the Tier 2 kind of institution in India. A kind of history and excellence in academic value, however, it does not reach to the elite institutions level like IITs or NITs, ranked Tier 1.
UNOM offers M.Sc. and M.Tech programs with decent faculty and research facilities. However, in terms of placement and industry acceptance, it finds its place in Tier 2 as compared to premier institutions.
