    Yes, UPES Dehradun is approved by the UGC, the Bar Council of India, and the Pharmacy Council of India. Also, it has been validated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It has been a member of the AIU of the Association of Indian Universities, the IAU of the International Association of Universities, the CII of the World Design Organization, and the PhD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. UPES is a private university that was launched under the India Act of 2003. This university is ranked among the top universities in the country.

    Petroleum University is accredited by IACBE, NBA, and with an A Grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), and approved by UGC, Bar Council of India, and Pharmacy Council of India. UPES University is recognised as a Scientific and Research Organisation by DISR, the Ministry of Science Technology, and the Government of India. UPES Dehradun is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the International Association of Universities (IAU), the World Design Organisation, CII, and PhD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
