Is Uttarakhand Residential University best in Uttarakhand?

<p>Uttarakhand Residential University ranked among other universities in the state but is not on the list of topmost institutions. Rankings would give it lower ranking as against leading ones such as IIT Roorkee, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, and Kumaun University. It is offering different vocational courses, which has good placement records but the academic prestige and research outputs are not so good as compared to the top-ranking universities of the region. So while it delivers worthwhile education, it might not be termed as the best in Uttarakhand.</p>

While it offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and Diploma courses with a focus on practical and regional needs, it still lacks the longstanding recognition of older universities.
