Uttarakhand Residential University (URU) would be considered a Tier 2 institution. While it is a promising and emerging university in the state, it is not yet as widely recognised or established as Tier 1 institutions. It is working on strengthening its academic offerings, infrastructure, and reputation, but it is still in the process of growing its status within the education sector.
