Hi! Yes, NIOS is equivalent to other boards like CBSE and ICSE. The only difference is that it is open schooling as compared to the regular classroom concept that other boards have. It is recognized at the same level. You can get more details from www.nos.org. Hope this helps. All the Best!

My domicile is Odisha. Is NIOS equivalent to CHSE or (+2)?

of course CBSE is better but if you do from nios you can apply in every university and in govt. sector too.

Why CBSE is better? In which context do you say so? If their value is same then it becomes a matter of choice for the student to enroll in regular schooling or open schooling.
