    VIT Vellore enjoys the status of a private Deemed-to-be University. Established in 1984, it is believed that the university is one of the best private universities due to its rankings. The university ranked 17 by the NIRF 2022 under the Overall category. VIT Vellore is located in Katpadi in Vellore, India. It was founded by G. Viswanathan.
