Total student strength of first year in Thapar is equivalent to the CSE strength at VIT. Do not agree with this, placements in VIT are much better. More than 80% students get 6+ packages in reputed companies, 40% get 10+ and 10% get 20+. If we compare VIT and Thapar, Thapar is way better than VIT. Thapar got big brands for placements, its infrastructure, faculty members support, and competitive environment makes Thapar different from not only VIT but other universities too.

The highest package offered by VIT is literally double than that of Thapar's, that too the national one, 2 students in VIT were offered an international CTC of 1.2 crores. Thapar is now officially way behind VIT

No, I would suggest you go to the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. The National Institutional Ranking Framework has ranked 23 among engineering institutions in 2019. So it is one of the best colleges in India and that too with good faculty and placement opportunities for students.

I would suggest you go to the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. The National Institutional Ranking Framework has ranked 23 among engineering institutions in 2019. So it is one of the best colleges in India and that too with good faculty and placement opportunities for students.

I believe that VIT-Vellore is better than Thapar University, but VIT's placements are good they have tie ups mass recruiters.

VIT is better in terms of Placement, Overall Growth and development. Second best after IITs or BITS. So definitely go for it.

The tuition fees for BCom course at IT-AP is INR 1.1 Lacs while the BCom (hons) fees is INR 1.65 Lacs for the academic year 2026. 

Candidates are charged the aforementioned tuition fees at per annum basis at INR 55,000 each year.

The four year BCom (hons) fees at VIT-AP is INR 1.68 Lacs for the academic year 2026. The aforementioned fees only applies to the BCom (hons) in Finance course offered by VIT-AP and is charged on per annum basis.

The BCom fees includes the tuition fees as well as the caution deposit.
