The entry criteria for admission into CIPET Chennai vary from programme to program. The B.E./B.Tech course enrolls students through the TNEA counseling based on the marks obtained in the 12th standard. No direct admission will be provided. Direct admission for Diploma programs is offered to 10th pass candidates; however, those who have passed 12th grade or obtained ITI qualification are entitled to join through lateral entry.
