  • WBCS is one of the toughest exams conducted in the state. West Bengal Civil Service Exam WBCS has three stages and the candidates are required to appear and clear all the stages of the exam. The final WBCS merit list is prepared based on the marks secured in the WBCS main exam written and interview. The WBCS prelims is a qualifying exam only and the marks secured in the prelim's exam are not considered for the final merit. But it is the first stage of the exam, and it is mandatory to qualify the exam. There are two papers in the WBCS prelims exam, and the candidates are required to appear and qualify in both papers.
