Yes, it's an important factor since some weight age is generally assigned to it by the colleges during the admission process. Though it is not mandatory to have work experience. -
If you're applying for IIMs and some top B. Schools Work experience is important factor. If you join some Private Tier II or III institutes work experience isn't necessary.
