No, it is not necessary but it will act as an added advantage in GD-PI as well as in placement process.

Work experience is not compulsory. Your admission is based on your entrance exam scores and GDPI rounds.

Work experience does not play a major part, that is all. Around 50% of the batch does not have a work experience.
