Is work experience necessary to pursue a course in travel? Which profiles will be considered relevant for T&T?

7 years agoIt is relatively easy to find paid part-time work opportunities in the travel and tourism industry, since it is so large and there are so many types of visitor establishments and attractions all over the country. The range of different working patterns available should make it easy to combine part-time work with your current study. Voluntary work may also be a good option, especially if it means gaining experience in an area where job opportunities are scarce. It's a dilemma similar to whether egg came first or the hen? One needs to do some course to obtain / learn some skills before starting on a job while prospective employers keep asking persons with experience.
But, don't worry. Majority of the courses in Travel and Tourism industry are tailor made for students with 10+2 qualifications. These are courses that range in duration from three to twelve months and impart relevant skills.
