Work experience is not a necessity for entrance into the PGDM or MBA course here at GIBS, though it is considered and offers an advantage in a significant manner.
As per the selection criteria of GIBS, due weightage is provided to the applicants with work experience.
Work experience during admission evaluation contributes 10% to the overall score.
Most of the fresh graduates (without work experience) get admitted, for instance, approximately 76% of the recent PGDM batch consisted of freshers.
So, although prior experience helps, freshers are fully eligible to apply.

No, work experience is not necessarily required to take admission at GIBS. To secure a seat at GIBS, a candidate must meet the other eligibility criteria, including academic and entrance exam scores, depending on the course they are opting for.

From what I've seen as a student, GIBS gets a pretty good mix of companies. You'll see brands from real estate, consulting, BFSI, tech services, startups, and FMCG coming to campus. Companies like real estate firms, marketing agencies, fintech and edtech companies, consulting firms, and growing startups regularly hire from here.

Roles are also quite practical — management trainee, business development, marketing executive, HR executive, financial analyst, operations roles, and even strategy or analyst profiles depending on your skills. What I like is that roles aren't just names on paper; many seniors are actually working in client-fa

As a student, what I really like about the GIBS IRE / GIBS Talks Podcast is that almost every week we get to see something new. There's always a fresh speaker, a new industry voice, or a different kind of session, so it never feels repetitive.

Recently, the episode with Mr. Deepak Saini (Co-founder & CEO, Sahaj Gaming) stood out — very real talk about startups, mindset, mistakes, and how things actually work outside college. No heavy theory, just honest experiences.

The best part is that these sessions and podcasts are continuously happening. Every week or so, there's another guest, another perspective, and another learning moment. As
