Work experience is not a necessity for entrance into the PGDM or MBA course here at GIBS, though it is considered and offers an advantage in a significant manner.
As per the selection criteria of GIBS, due weightage is provided to the applicants with work experience.
Work experience during admission evaluation contributes 10% to the overall score.
Most of the fresh graduates (without work experience) get admitted, for instance, approximately 76% of the recent PGDM batch consisted of freshers.
So, although prior experience helps, freshers are fully eligible to apply.

Both recent graduates and working professionals are welcome to apply to GIBS Business School; work experience is not required for admission. Nevertheless, prior work experience is viewed favorably during the selection process since it shows professional maturity, practical exposure, and managerial role readiness. Experienced candidates frequently contribute insightful industry perspectives to group projects and class discussions, enhancing the learning environment as a whole. In order to foster a dynamic and cooperative learning environment, GIBS welcomes students from a wide range of professional, cultural, and academic backgrounds.

At GIBS Bangalore, having work experience is not required to get admission. Even freshers can easily apply and join. But if someone has some work experience, it's always a plus point because it adds value during discussions and projects. The college welcomes both fresh graduates and working professionals.

At GIBS Bangalore, work experience is not mandatory for admission. Freshers like me can also apply and get admission easily. However, if someone already has work experience, it is definitely considered as an added advantage during the selection process. The college values both fresh graduates and experienced professionals, as it creates a good mix of learning and sharing real-world knowledge in the classroom.

No, work experience is not necessarily required to take admission at GIBS. To secure a seat at GIBS, a candidate must meet the other eligibility criteria, including academic and entrance exam scores, depending on the course they are opting for.

Yes, GIBS does have alumni who have earned external recognition in their respective industries, although such achievements are generally at an individual or organizational level rather than large national awards. Appreciation by companies is given to many GIBS graduates for performance excellence, leadership roles, project contributions, and successful entrepreneurial ventures. Many alumni in marketing, finance, consulting, and operations were recognised as top performers within their organizations, while a number of them led or started startup organizations that received industry-wide visibility. While GIBS might be too young a school
